Richard Burton / It will provide (Single)

“Richard Burton” was written in India and is part of the so-called “Rishikesh stock”. These songs were directly inspired by the influence of Indian tradition and spirituality. The song itself focuses on issues having to do with faith, love, and mortality. The life of legendary Welsh actor, Richard Burton, is also a vital component in its creation. Eduard sought to create a mixture of his familiar indie-folk sound, with a modern, electronica centered production. He sings, plays all the instruments on the song, as well as produces the track. The song ends with the question that dominates it throughout: “What if the end never comes?”

In It will provide Banulescu attempts to capture the mood and optimism of the Beatles circa 1967, in a swirl of arpeggiated guitars and indie rocking vocals.

"All controversies aside, the Beatles never wrote better songs than they did in India. It's amazing that once you get to Rishikesh all you see are some old huts, gardens, mountains.. and you are exposed to an almost aching sense of peace. That's what I wanted to document."
