Singer-songwriter and poet Eduard Banulescu's is gearing to release his newest single It will provide August 20th.

Compared to luminaries of the likes of Syd Barrett and Townes Van Zandt, Banulescu draws on his travels to India for inspiration for his newest single. The song tells the story of the musician's pilgrimage to Rishikesh, one of the Indian holy cities, where the members of the Beatles were introduced to the art meditation and yoga by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

In It will provide Banulescu attempts to capture the mood and optimism of the Beatles circa 1967, in a swirl of arpeggiated guitars and indie rocking vocals.

"All controversies aside, the Beatles never wrote better songs than they did in India. It's amazing that once you get to Rishikesh all you see are some old huts, gardens, mountains.. and you are exposed to an almost aching sense of peace. That's what I wanted to document."

Eduard Banulescu is a Romanian musician and poet, who has been heavily involved in the DYI and underground movement in his native country. Past member of several bands, spanning the genres of indie rock and punk, his first release as a solo musician, The times ain't changing no more, displayed his interest in folk music. While the arrangements on his first EP were sparse, with Banulescu's vocals and acoustic guitar playing, the sole elements on display, It will provide receives a full backing treatment. The result is what Banulescu calls "Dylan music of carnival variety".

"It was in India that I began reading Paramahansa Yogananda. He was a master Yogi and George Harrison's favorite author. His writings had a profound effect on me. In fact, I doubt I ever approached anything creative in quite the same way after reading his work."

The track is produced by veteran British musician Ray Jenkins, who also handles bass guitar duties on the song. Banulescu rounds up the song's arrangement lending vocals, guitars and keyboards. The result is a mixture of English, Indian and Eastern European sounds, backed up by indie rock intentions.

It will provide will be included on Eduard Banulescu next album, tentatively titled "Rishikesh". The first single expresses the artist's interest in Eastern philosophy, as well as a growing desire to incorporate electronic elements and modern production techniques aimed at helping reflect the musician's current state of mind.

"I write about my feelings. I usually do it in a silly, humorous way. But, it's just a way to disguise how serious I feel about those things."
